IS 465 - Text Mining

Prerequisite: CS 485 or IS 353 ; IS 358 ; or written permission of the department chair. Students are introduced to mining textual data to discover information and knowledge embedded in formats such as social media and electronic text documents. Students utilize technologies such as SAS Enterprise Miner™ to perform text mining using methods such as clustering, regression, and decision trees. Students develop a project using current business intelligence technology for text mining. DS
