Interdisciplinary Major in Statistics

An interdisciplinary major may be arranged between statistics and another discipline. Students planning an interdisciplinary major must contact each department to review the requirements for that department.

Requirements for the Major

The following courses are required for the statistics component of the interdisciplinary major:

CS 151 - Computer Science through Programming
MA 251 - Calculus I
MA 252 - Calculus II
MA 301 - Introduction to Linear Algebra
MA 351 - Calculus III
MA 395 - Discrete Methods
ST 210 - Introduction to Statistics or
ST 265 - Biostatistics
ST 365 - Statistical Analysis System (SAS) Laboratory
ST 461 - Elements of Statistical Theory I: Distributions
ST 465 - Experimental Research Methods

Notes:

Computer Science II (CS 212 ) is strongly recommended as an elective.

ST 471 - Statistical Quality Control
ST 472 - Applied Multivariate Analysis
