Loyola University Maryland is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), located at 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166, Wilmington DE 19801. The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Within Loyola College, the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry is certified by the American Chemical Society. The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org. The engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
The Sellinger School of Business and Management is accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business.
The School of Education has met all of the components of the Maryland Institutional Performance Criteria and is fully approved, by the Maryland State Department of Education (200 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201), to offer undergraduate and graduate programs. This approval covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator programs. However, the approval does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.
