EC 340 - Economic Problems of Cities

(3.00 cr.)

An application of the tools of economic analysis to some of the most pressing contemporary problems of American cities: poverty, crime, job loss, low educational attainment, affordable housing, and sprawl. Policies that affect the property rights of urban citizens are examined, and the effects of these policies on a city's stock of physical, human, and social capital are assessed.
