EC 348 - Development Economics

(3.00 cr.)

Examines the theory and practice of the economic development of nations. The first segment focuses on the meaning of development. The second segment considers the internal and external forces that encourage or discourage economic development. The course closes with a consideration of special topics such as the link between development, environment, education, and income distribution. Closed to students who have taken EC 448.

Prerequisite: EC 102 , EC 103 .
