EC 460 - Business and Government(3.00 cr.)
Examines the nature of business behavior in competitive and noncompetitive markets and the nature and consequences of government regulation of this behavior. Students acquire tools useful in the development of competitive strategies and develop a sophisticated understanding of regulatory institutions and behavior. Topics include collusion; mergers and acquisitions; predatory behavior and monopolization; and emerging deregulation of telecommunication, transportation, and financial institutions.
