BL 101 - Introduction to Forensic Science with Lab

(4.00 cr.)

An introduction to the field of forensic science and its application in the world today. Topics include crime scene investigation, DNA analysis, questioned documents, forensic psychology, and toxicology. Lab topics include fingerprint and shoe print analysis, crime scene investigation, blood typing, and use of DNA in criminal investigation. During summer session only, course is open to all majors. Fulfills the natural science core requirement for nonscience majors. Closed to students who have taken BL 110 .

Restrictions: Restricted to forensic studies majors or minors, or written permission of the forensic studies program director.
