SP 206 - Observation Methods and Techniques in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology(3.00 cr.)
Students gain knowledge and experience in clinical practice methods, both in the classroom and through outside clinical observations across a wide range of ages and variety of speech, language, swallowing, and hearing problems. In addition to scheduled lecture periods, students observe in the Loyola Clinical Centers and a minimum of two off-campus settings. The course is writing-intensive, as the development of students' pre-clinical writing is emphasized through a continuous editing process of observation reports. Formerly SP 306.
Prerequisite: SP 103 . Restrictions: Restricted to sophomore, junior, and senior majors.
