BL 206 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I(3.00 cr.)
The first in a two-course sequence in human anatomy and physiology designed to meet the requirements for students pursuing careers in nursing or allied health professions. The course covers basic body organization; functional biochemistry; cytology; histology; and the study of integumentary, skeletal, muscular, endocrine, and nervous systems. There is emphasis on the study of the relationship between structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) with clinical applications. Written or electronic permission of the department chair or director of curriculum and advising. Closed to students who have taken BL 260 , BL 301 , or BL 452 .
Prerequisite: BL 118 , BL 119 , BL 121 , BL 126 or equivalent. Concurrent Requisite: BL 207 . Sessions Typically Offered: Fall Years Typically Offered: Annually
