CS 499 - Computer Science Internship(1.00 cr.)
Students gain a better understanding of the application of computer science through work experience. Interns are required to work in a computer science-related business or professional environment under the guidance of an on-site supervisor for a minimum of 100 hours. The location may be in- or out-of-state, on a paid or unpaid basis. Course requirements include a weekly work log, a scheduled performance evaluation signed by the on-site supervisor, and an updated résumé, and cover letter. Written or electronic permission of the instructor or department chair. Does not count toward the 120-credit graduation requirement. May be repeated 3 times for credit. (Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory).
Restrictions: Restricted to junior or senior computer science majors or minors.
