A survey of the principal classes of prescription drugs including neurologic, anesthetic, and cardiovascular drugs; hormones; anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, and oncolytic agents. Detailed study of the discovery, chemical structure, synthesis, and pharmacology of several representatives in each category.
