HS 384 - Modern Latin America(3.00 cr.)
Prerequisite: One HS 100-level course. Covers Latin American history from independence in the nineteenth century to the present. Examines the impact of modernization, growth of political instability, neocolonialism, and U.S.-Latin American relations with an emphasis on Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Andean and Central American republics, and Cuba.
