TH 308 - Ethics: Justice and the Church in the World

(3.00 cr.)

Prerequisite: TH 201 . What does faith have to do with politics, economics and ethics in general? Can we say or do anything that will move forward the debates about abortion and sexuality, friendship and the shape of the political commonweal? In terms of theory, the course looks to Christian Scripture, philosophers and theologians to study what has come to be known as 'Catholic social teaching'. This theory is then applied to contemporary ethical questions. IC
