FO 650 - Forensic Pattern Evidence(3.00 cr.)
Examines techniques and methodologies for processing, analyzing, and interpreting evidence encountered in cases involving the pattern disciplines (e.g., fingerprints, firearm/tool mark artifacts, footwear impressions, and bloodstains) with an emphasis on advanced techniques for latent fingerprint development and recovery, and microscopic comparison of firearms and tool mark evidence. Students utilize a variety of laboratory methods and equipment including stereo and comparison microscopes, as well as a fuming chamber and chemical reagents. Lab coat and safety goggles required.
