NUR 211 - Nursing Health Assessment Clinical(1.00 cr.)
Develops clinical judgment and competencies in patient-centered, compassionate care through goal setting, observation, practice, feedback, self-evaluation, and reflection. Students practice conducting comprehensive health assessments, including taking health histories, performing systematic physical examinations, and documenting findings in electronic medical records. The course emphasizes integrating cultural, spiritual, and social factors into clinical judgment to ensure holistic, patient-centered care. Students collaborate and demonstrate their ability to integrate assessment results into nursing diagnoses and care plans. Course competency is assessed through clinical evaluations, self-reflection, peer feedback, clinical skills checklists, patient simulations, and documentation review, focusing on practical and theoretical knowledge.
Concurrent Requisite: NUR 210 . Restrictions: Restricted to nursing majors.
