FO 102 - Scientific Basis of Forensic Investigation(4.00 cr.)
Provides students with an in-depth introduction to the scientific method and its application to forensic disciplines founded on the natural sciences and emerging areas of forensic investigation. Through case studies, laboratory/field work, and reading of the primary literature, students practice observation, critical analysis of data sets, and communication of research findings using symbolic data representation, and apply statistical analysis of forensic data through the lens of appropriate ethical and moral standards. Does not fulfill natural science core requirement.
Prerequisite: FO 101 . Restrictions: Restricted to forensic science majors or minors.
