ED 405 - Elementary Internship I

(3.00 cr.)

The first phase of a two-semester internship. Students apply theory to practice under the guidance of a school-based mentor and a clinical supervisor in local partner schools where they participate in school activities and become part of the school community. Using a gradual release model, students increase their knowledge and understanding of the teaching/learning process and develop skills necessary for successful teaching. A 3.000 GPA is required. Students are responsible for transportation to the school site.

Concurrent Requisite: ED 421 , ED 444 , RE 420 , RE 430 .
