RE 211 - Exploring Language: An Introduction to Linguistics for Educators(3.00 cr.)
Investigates the study of linguistics, including sociolinguistics, with a focus on theoretical foundations and pragmatic, evidence-based implications for teaching and assessing reading, writing, spelling, phonics, and grammar in monolingual or multilingual contexts. Foundational concepts such as phonology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics are explored with the goal of informing planning for teaching monolingual or multilingual students.
