RE 311 - Methods for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Focuses on the theories and methods of second language teaching and learning and develops the skills for applying the methods to classroom practice through lesson plan development and demonstration. Students explore the techniques, strategies, and materials for delivering ESOL-focused instruction across the content areas. Students develop appropriate, research-based teaching strategies for application across language proficiency levels and grade spans.
