GB 750 - Security Controls and Prevention Strategies(3.00 cr.)
Prerequisite: GB 751 . Introduces the principle of security which holds that access can be granted only to those who are who they claim to be. Covers the implementation of authentication over a network of distributed servers, workstations, and databases. Topics include authentication, distributed authentication, access and availability, applications, and systems development. Students are given hands-on experience with penetration testing (i.e., attempts to circumvent authentication). (Fall only)
