Prerequisite: CS 201 or, with an appropriate programming background, written permission of the department chair. Students learn to program in a high level object-oriented language, with emphasis on data storage and manipulation. Students should have previous experience in programming but do not need experience in an object-oriented language. Students learn essential object-oriented concepts including object, class, message, method, inheritance, and polymorphism. They also learn the analysis of algorithms to determine if a program is correct and efficient.
