Requirements for the Major


Requirements for the major are as follows:

Applied Science Track Courses


The analytic track courses are replaced with six science and math courses that form a cohesive whole. These six courses must be selected in consultation with the physics advisor.

Notes:

  1. EG 331 /EG 031  may be counted in lieu of PH 397 .
  2. PH 416  and PH 418  may not be offered every year, so it is important to plan ahead, particularly if the student is considering spending a semester abroad.
  3. Students must complete the diversity core requirement through a designated diversity core, major, or elective course (see Diversity Core Requirement  under Curriculum and Policies).
