Business Administration, Information Systems Minor

The Sellinger School offers minors to support the career and professional interests of students pursuing majors in arts and sciences. Accounting, business administration, and sustainability management majors are eligible for the minor in information systems.

Requirements for the Minor

Recommended for any student interested in the strategic use of information and the development of information systems to improve decision making. Requirements are as follows:

EC 220 - Business Statistics *
IS 251 - Data Analytics and Information Systems
IS 353 - Data Management and Database Systems
IS 453 - Information Systems Analysis and Design

Plus One Course from the Following:

IS 352 - Introduction to Programming in Python
IS 355 - Cyber Security and Networks
IS 356 - Information Technology for Financial Services
IS 358 - Business Intelligence and Data Mining
IS 360 - Management of Global Information Technology
IS 452 - Special Topics in Information Systems
IS 460 - Data Visualization
OM 335 - Project Management
OM 334 - Global Supply Chain Strategy and Sourcing

*Candidates for the minor may substitute Introduction to Statistics (ST 210 ) for EC 220 . Note that both EC 220 and ST 210 count towards the third Math/Natural Science requirement in the Loyola Core.
