Notes:

1. Philosophy Core Requirements: All students must take PL 201  and a second 200-level philosophical perspectives course or ethics (PL 302-319). Honors Program students may take an upper-level philosophy seminar (PL 321  and above) after completing HN 201  or HN 202  and HN 210  or WR 100 .
2. PL 201  is a prerequisite for all other philosophy courses. 
3. Ethics Core Requirements: Each student must take one course in ethics. This course may be elected from those offered by the Philosophy Department (PL 302-319) or from the courses in Christian ethics offered by the Theology Department (TH 300-319).
4. Major Requirements: In addition to PL 201 , 11 upper-level PL courses, one of which may be a Philosophical Perspectives Course (PL 202-299) and one of which may be a departmental core offering in ethics (PL 302-319). 
5. PL 202-299 may be taken as free electives. No more than one may count toward a philosophy major or minor.
6. Students must complete the diversity core requirement through a designated diversity core, major, or elective course (see Diversity Core Requirement  under Curriculum and Policies).
