Loyola University Maryland offers the opportunity for current accounting undergraduate students to apply to the Master of Accounting (MAcc) program, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree in a shortened amount of time. An undergraduate student accepted into the MAcc program may take up to two graduate-level courses towards the MAcc program during senior year (one course in the Fall and one course in the Spring). This option is referred to as "Senior Start". Courses may simultaneously count as an undergraduate free elective and a graduate requirement for the MAcc program. Students then continue in the MAcc following undergraduate graduation. Undergraduate accounting students interested in Senior Start may apply via the Fast Track admission process assuming certain GPA requirements are met starting in the second semester of their junior year.
Current accounting seniors not interested in the Senior Start option may apply via Fast Track admission assuming certain GPA requirements are met, or regular admission if GPA requirements are not met. If accepted, students may begin the MAcc program either in summer or fall semester following graduation. The $60 application fee is waived for all current Loyola University Maryland students. Additionally, Loyola undergraduate alumni enrolled in this graduate program are eligible for a 15% tuition discount referred to as the Double Greyhound Alumni Discount.
