Requirements for the Major

Requirements for the major and an example of a typical program of courses are as follows:

AH 109 - Non-Western Art or
AH 110 - Western Art: Paleolithic to Gothic or
AH 111 - Western Art: Renaissance to Contemporary
AH 350 - Visual Thinking
One AH 100-Level or AH 300-Level Course
Five AH 300-Level or 400-Level Courses
ONE AH 300-Level or 400-Level Course outside the dominant European tradition (AH 307 , AH 326 , AH 327 , and AH 330 . AH 360 and AH 402 may count depending topic).
AH Capstone consisting of an AH 400-level seminar or AH 401 or AH 403 .

One additional course

Once students have taken PT 270 or SA 224 or SA 227 they are required to take one additional course. Students that completed PT 270 are required to take a PT 300-level or 400-level course. Students that completed SA 224 or SA 227 are required to take SA 225 or a SA 300-level or SA 400-level course.
