Program of Study

The degree consists of 33 graduate credit hours, distributed as shown below. All courses are taken online, asynchronously.

Orientation to Online Learning (non-credit)

An online orientation to Loyola's learning platforms and tools that includes strategies for student success for online learning. This orientation must be completed within the first week of beginning the first course. You will be automatically enrolled for this course by the Director of Program Operations.

Required Courses (9 credits)

Take 4 of the following Specialization Courses (12 credits)

Take 2 of the following Elective Courses (6 credits)

Capstone Course (6 credits)

Notes:

Students may select up to two specializations including Health Communication, Digital Culture, and Content Development and Strategy. Students seeking two specializations should plan to take ME 601 , ME 602 , ME 701 , and six credits of capstone work. The remaining 18 credits should be planned under close guidance of the academic advisor.
Students are not required to declare a specialization in order to complete the MA in Emerging Media.
