AC 496 - Advanced Volunteer Tax Assistance(3.00 cr.)
Provides students with practical experience in preparing federal and state individual income tax returns. Students complete a training program and must pass an IRS basic-level certification exam as part the course. Students communicate and interact in-person with clients, receive training on the use of professional income tax preparation software, and complete a reflection paper on the experience at the end of the tax season.
