IS 366 - Identity, Privacy, and Access Management(3.00 cr.)
Introduces students to identity governance, access management, and privacy program design as core elements of modern cybersecurity. Students learn how organizations control user access, manage digital identities, and protect personal data across systems and platforms. The course blends policy, risk, and regulatory perspectives with practical exposure to identity and privacy controls. Free and widely used platforms such as Azure Active Directory (free tier), Okta Developer Edition, and open-source identity tools like Keycloak are used selectively to demonstrate authentication, access control, and governance concepts, while privacy topics are explored through real regulatory scenarios, assessments, and applied case analysis.
