FI 325  -  Real Estate and Finance Investment

(3.00 cr.)

Explores how real estate value is determined and how financial principles are applied within the real estate context. The course covers key topics such as the time value of money, return on investment, and net operating income. It examines the components of a real estate sources and uses statement, the various sources of equity and debt financing, and the commonly used debt ratios and equity return metrics in real estate. Additional emphasis is placed on sensitivity analysis, risk assessment, and the development of effective exit strategies. Same course as REE 325 .

Prerequisite: FI 230  or BH 230  or FI 320  or BH 320 EC 220  or ST 210
