IS 353  -  Data Management and Database Systems

(3.00 cr.)

Students analyze, create a logical design, and implement the physical design for a relational database system. The course includes significant exposure to SQL (Structured Query Language) in both Microsoft Access and Oracle. Students are also exposed to data engineering concepts and challenges associated with managing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

Prerequisite:  IS 251  or BH 251  or DS 303 .
