The Visual and Performing Arts Department offers majors in the visual and performing arts.
Students interested in the visual arts may pursue major concentrations in art history, photography, studio arts, and InterArts (interdisciplinary practice). The department also offers an interdisciplinary major in visual arts, and minors in art history, photography, studio arts, and InterArts. Students interested in art education should concentrate in studio arts and minor in Secondary Education.
In the performing arts, students may pursue major concentrations in music and theatre, as well as a comprehensive concentration combining music and theatre. The department also offers interdisciplinary majors in the performing arts with concentrations both in music and in theatre, and minors in music and theatre.
Internships are available throughout the department. Students seeking internships should contact a faculty advisor or the Department Chair the semester prior to the internship.
