Advanced graduate work beyond the master's degree may be pursued in specific program areas. The 30-credit program leads to a Certificate of Advanced Study (C.A.S.) for candidates who have already completed a master's degree in special education. Requirements are 18 credits of coursework in special education and 12 credits of coursework in another area. The C.A.S. can be used for advanced professional development or to obtain a second special education certification for those already certified at one age/grade level.  Candidates must meet with an advisor prior to beginning the program.
