				The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership is for educators who wish to become leaders at the school (principal, assistance principal) and/or district level (supervisor, director). The program of study focuses on both the theory and appliation of school leadership in the twenty-first century. This program includes a six-credit internship, through which students have the opportunity to apply experience and further develop their leadership abilities in a real-life education setting. 
Upon successful completion of the program and 27 months of successful teaching, students are eligible for certification as Administrator I (Assistant in Administration, Supervisor in Central Administrations, and Supervisor of Instruction).

		Requirements for the Major
 Thirty-nine (39) credits of required coursework must be completed. Required Courses (33 credits)
 Notes:
 The programs in educational leadership qualifying for state certification have been approved by the Maryland State Department of Education and meet both state and national standards.  													 |
