Comprehensive majors take a minimum of 5.5 credits of Applied Music Lessons (MU 360 and/or MU 361), MU 205 and MU 206 (1.5 credits each), and four semesters of DR 275 (1 credit each). Students register for these courses during the regular registration period.
MU 205 and MU 206, MU 360 and MU 361, and DR 275 are taken in addition to the regular five-course load since they are not three credit courses. A combined total of six credits from these courses fulfill requirement towards graduation.
DR 375 may be repeated a second time for credit in place of a DR 300-level elective.
MU 361 available only to students who have declared a Performing Arts Comprehensive major, Performing Arts Music major, or Performing Arts Music minor.
Students that test out of MU 202 take an MU 300-level or MU 400-level course to fulfill the requirement.
Students must complete the diversity core requirement through a designated diversity core, major, or elective course (see Diversity Core Requirement under Curriculum and Policies).
