Applied Music
Students must take a combination of MU 360 and MU 361 four times. MU 360 may only be taken once.
Theatre Practicum
Students must also complete four one-credit hours of DR 275 .

A typical program of courses for a major are as follows:

- Comprehensive majors take a minimum of 5.5 credits of Applied Music Lessons (MU 360 and/or MU 361 ), MU 205 and MU 206 (1.5 credits each), and four semesters of DR 275 (1 credit each). Students register for these courses during the regular registration period.
- MU 205 and MU 206 , MU 360 and MU 361 , and DR 275 are taken in addition to the regular five-course load since they are not three credit courses. A combined total of six credits from these courses fulfill requirement towards graduation.
- DR 375 may be repeated a second time for credit in place of a DR 300-level elective.
- MU 361 available only to students who have declared a Performing Arts Comprehensive major, Performing Arts Music major, or Performing Arts Music minor.
- Students that test out of MU 202 take an MU 300-level or MU 400-level course to fulfill the requirement.
- Students must complete the diversity core requirement through a designated diversity core, major, or elective course (see Diversity Core Requirement under Curriculum and Policies).
