The minor in mathematics consists of six or seven courses.

Elective Requirements
Students must complete the elective requirement below associated with their declared major. Students graduating with a degree in a natural science, computer science, or engineering
Students must complete one of the following: - One MA/ST 400-level course and two MA/ST 200-level courses
- Four MA/ST 200-level courses
Students graduating with a degree in the social sciences or humanities
Students must complete the following: - Three MA/ST courses at the 200-level or higher
Students graduating with a degree in business
Students must complete the following: Students graduating with a degree in elementary education
Students must complete one of the elective sequences below: - MA 103 , MA 104 , ST 210 , and one MA/ST 300-level or higher course
- MA 103 , MA 395 , MA 431 , ST 210 , and one MA/ST 300-level or higher course
- MA 104 , MA 395 , MA 441 or MA 442 , ST 210 , and one MA/ST 300-level or higher course
Notes:
- For students wishing to complete minors in both mathematics and statistics, up to two courses may be double counted towards both minors. Therefore, a minimum of ten courses must be taken in the areas of mathematics and statistics, and these courses must satisfy the published requirements for each of the two separate minors. For a student whose minor in mathematics consists of seven courses instead of six, a minimum of 11 total courses must be taken.
