Community Development Minor

The community development minor provides Loyola students with access to economic reasoning and civic application regardless of their major. This minor exposes students to the intersectionality of economics, education, philosophy, and real estate/finance by building bridges between the liberal arts and business. This minor is designed to prepare students to address economic disparities, promote sustainable development, and engage in ethical leadership in diverse community settings. The curriculum emphasizes academic rigor and integrative learning, while also fostering empathy, reflection, and commitment to justice.

- EC 102 satisfies a social science core requirement.
- The minor is closed to students completing a BA or BBA in economics.
