Interdisciplinary Major in Performing Arts, Theatre Concentration

An interdisciplinary major allows students to combine interests in disciplines from two different departments that participate in the Interdisciplinary Studies program. This enables students to individualize their curriculum and helps to prepare them for our interdisciplinary world.

DR 100 - Stagecraft
DR 250 - Introduction to Theatre History
DR 251 - Experience of Theatre
DR 254 - Introduction to Theatre Design
DR 350 - Acting I
DR 351 - Directing I

Theatre Electives

Students must complete two courses from the following:

DR 210 - American Musical Theatre: Uptown and Down
DR 260 - Introduction to Dance
DR 265 - Modern Dance
DR 270 - Scene Design
DR 271 - Costume Design
DR 301 - Improvisation
DR 354 - Acting II
DR 356 - Directing II
DR 360 - Voice and Speech
DR 363 - Special Topics in Performance
DR 364 - Solo Performance
DR 365 - Stage Management
DR 370 - Queer Theatre and Film
DR 374 - Theatre Production Internship
DR 375 - Evergreen Players Production

Theatre Practicum

Students must complete two one-credit sections of DR 275 and one one-credit hour of DR 276 . DR 276 must be taken during the senior year.
