NUR 431 - Leadership and Management Nursing Clinical(1.00 cr.)Develops clinical judgment and competencies for patient-centered care within leadership and management contexts. Students apply clinical reasoning and leadership skills through goal setting, observation, feedback, and reflection, with an emphasis on prioritizing care, safe delegation, and engaging in quality improvement and nursing research. In clinical practice, students develop competencies in delegation, leading teams, and managing care, aiming to improve patient outcomes and communication. Competency is assessed through clinical practice, peer feedback, self-reflection, case studies, quality improvement participation, simulations, and group projects, evaluating their ability to implement leadership strategies, manage complex care, and promote evidence-based practices. Must be passed with a C or better. Prerequisite: At least a C or better in NUR 420, NUR 421. Prerequisite (may be taken concurrently): NUR 440. Concurrent Requisite: NUR 430.
