HS 213 - A Century of Diplomacy: United States Foreign Policy Since 1890(3.00 cr.)
A study of modern American foreign policy. Topics include imperial expansion in the 1890s, World Wars I and II, the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam, interventions in Central America, and the rise of a new international order. This course covers the following: how American culture and politics influence foreign policy decisions and why the United States seeks peace in Europe, dominates Central America, and commits blunders in Asia.
Prerequisite: HS 100 . Restrictions: Open to students with catalogue year 2022-2023 or beyond.
