RE 411 - Second Language Acquisition Theory and Practice(3.00 cr.)
Focuses on facilitating an understanding of language and language use, especially as it pertains to learning and teaching with emergent bilingual K-12 students. The course expands upon linguistic topics such as phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. The interdisciplinary areas of psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics are also explored. Students should complete two world language courses, with at least one being at the Intermediate II level or higher prior to taking this course.
