REE 445  -  Real Estate Modeling and Valuation

(3.00 cr.)

Provides in-depth experience in modeling and valuing the development or acquisition of office, multifamily, hotel, and residential properties. Students learn to build real estate financial models using flexible time periods, construct debt schedules, and incorporate alternative financing structures, including joint venture waterfall analyses and returns allocation schedules. Key terminology related to real estate and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) is introduced and applied. The course also examines how sustainability considerations influence the real estate sector.

Prerequisite: REE 325  or FI 325 .
