Statistics Minor

The department offers two types of minors: one in the mathematics, the other in statistics. The focus of the minor can take many directions depending on the MA/ST courses selected. Students pursuing a minor should discuss their academic and career interests with a department faculty member.

Requirements for the Minor
Requirements for a minor are ST 365 and a minimum of six, three- or four-credit MA/ST courses including MA 251 , MA 252 , and ST 465 . The remaining courses are to be taken from MA 301 , ST 210 or ST 265 or ST 381 /EG 381 , ST 461 , ST 462 , ST 466 , ST 471 , ST 472 , ST 475 , and MA 485 / ST 485 . Those graduating with a degree in the social sciences or humanities may also count ST 110 .
