Requirements for the Business Economics, BBA are listed below. Students must take the business foundation courses in addition to the major requirements listed below.

Students will ideally complete EC 301 or EC 302 prior to the fall of the junior year. Students with good mathematical skills are encouraged to take MA 251 and MA 252 . Students interested in pursuing graduate study in economics are encouraged to take MA 301 .

Key:
*Satisfies a social science core requirement.
** EC 220 counts towards the third Math/Natural Science requirement in the Loyola Core.
Quantitative Specialization
This specialization is appropriate for those who plan to pursue master's or doctoral work in economics and prepare for careers in research and/or teaching. This path is also appropriate for students interested in analytical careers in economics or finance. Requirements for the concentration are as follows:
- EC 305 - Mathematical Economics
- EC 405 - Game Theory and the Economics of Information or
- EC 425 - Applied Economic Forecasting
- EC 420 - Econometrics
- Three EC Electives (one of which must be 400-level)
- MA 251 - Calculus I
- MA 252 - Calculus II
- MA 301 - Introduction to Linear Algebra
Ordinary Differential Equations (MA 304 ), Calculus III (MA 351 ), and Analysis I (MA 421 ) are recommended electives for graduate school prospects.
Students who wish a broad, business-oriented program may elect to pursue the Bachelor of Business Administration in business economics. The BA is described under the Loyola College of Arts and Sciences.
