BL 154 - Foundations of Biology III(3.00 cr.)
An introduction to ecology, evolution, and population biology including the relationships among organisms, responses to stress, the mechanisms of genetic change and maintenance of diversity, mechanisms of evolution and speciation, biogeography, energy flow through ecosystems and resource allocation, food webs and ecosystem services, and biogeochemical cycles. Required for biology majors. Fulfills the natural science core requirement. Same course as BL 201 .
Prerequisite: BL 118 or BL 150 , BL 119 or BL 151 , BL 121 or BL 152 , BL 126 or BL 153 . Prerequisite (may be taken concurrently): BL 155 . Sessions Typically Offered: Fall/Spring Years Typically Offered: Annually
