Examines the importance of valid and reliable forensic evidence in twenty-first century policing. Starting with historical perspectives of law enforcement in the U.S., students learn how policing has changed, the challenges facing police organizations today, and the role sound forensic evidence plays in strengthening public trust and improving the legitimacy of policing.
