Interdisciplinary Statistics

An interdisciplinary major may be arranged between statistics and another discipline. Students planning an interdisciplinary major must contact each department to review the requirements for that department.

Requirements for the Major

The following courses are required for the statistics component of the interdisciplinary major:

CS 151 - Computer Science through Programming
MA 251 - Calculus I
MA 252 - Calculus II
MA 301 - Introduction to Linear Algebra
MA 395 - Discrete Methods
ST 210 - Introduction to Statistics or
ST 265 - Biostatistics
ST 310 - Statistical Computing
ST 465 - Experimental Research Methods

In Addition, Select One of the Following Courses:

MA 351 - Calculus III
MA 485 - Stochastic Processes
ST 462 - Elements of Statistical Theory II: Inference
ST 466 - Experimental Design
ST 472 - Applied Multivariate Analysis
