The analytic track courses are replaced with six science and math courses that form a cohesive whole. These six courses must be selected in consultation with the physics advisor.
Analytic Track
Requirements for the Analytic Track
An example of a typical program of courses in the analytic track is as follows:
PH 416 and PH 418 may not be offered every year, so it is important to plan ahead, particularly if the student is considering spending a semester abroad.
Students must complete the Diversity-Justice requirement by completing two Diversity-Justice designated courses anywhere in their curriculum (see Diversity-Justice Requirement under Curriculum and Policies).
Areas of Study within the Applied Science Track
The following are two examples of study within the applied science track. More examples can be found on the department's website. Students should consult an advisor in the Physics Department to design their particular program.
